| Monday 16 | Ready to go. I'll say! Tomorrow's the day. Don't feel excited. Just happy. |
| Tuesday 17 | Went to R.N Camp at Gt Malvern. 10 others went with me from Snow Hill |
| Wednesday 18 | Issued soap and towel, so far OK Had a jolly good time tonight. Chaps not bad |
| Thursday 19 | Collected kit and uniform. Got a good P.O Inoc 25% tomorrow. Sleepy now |
| Friday 20 | Feel OK 1.45pm Inoc 4.15pm Arm stiff. |
| Saturday 21 | Inoc. Still sore, easy morn. Went to canteen, had a good time. Got some pals |
| Sunday 22 | Watched Divisions for first time, was impressed. Easy Day. Canteen |
| Monday 23 | Marking Kit and learning to wear clothes properly. Chosen as a Class Div leader |
| Tuesday 24 | Started Training - Old Routine, same as Army only easy. Go ashore. Went to Pictures with Glyn and Bill |
| Wednesday 25 | Usual training Routine. Port Watch - Canteen ? and Blondie |
| Thursday 26 | U-T Went to flicks and saw the Common Touch Nice Evening |
| Friday 27 | Port Watch tonight. Duty Class Canteen again tonight |
| Saturday 28 | Easy morn. Went ashore 12.15 met 2 girls went for walk and finished at flicks |

| Monday 16 | Still S.B Feel OK Doctor says I'm to stay till tomorrow. Sleepy. |
| Tuesday 17 | Waiting for doctor. Says I can go out 12.30. Back in Billet at 4.30pm |
| Wednesday 18 | Back on Parade. Cracked a few jokes with L.S. Simpson. Going ashore I hope. Glyn and Bill. |
| Thursday 19 | Fired on .22 Range. Got 20. Top score. Had 75% Innoculation. Awaiting results. OK |
| Friday 20 | Arm's been stiff as hell. Cleaning galley today. Had to clean up tonight. |
| Saturday 21 | Working Party again. PO compliments on Cleaning. Did Washing. May go Home Sun. |
| Sunday 22 | Finished Church at 10.35am Caught first Liberty Boat Home at 3.00 till 6.00 Back OK |
| Monday 23 | Draft routine. Go to WAT on Friday. Handed in Kit. Going to celebrate tonight in Canteen (WET) |
| Tuesday 24 | Via Worcester to Euston. Din at Eust. Went to Factory. Carried kit to billets. Billets OK Mr and Mrs Chamberlain. Go Out. |
| Wednesday 25 | Start Work. ? Finish 4.30 Went to Dance |
| Thursday 26 | Usual. Work. Got Date for tonight. Ethyl. Looks OK. Went to a dance, had a Very good time after. Some place this. |
| Friday 27 | Finished job. Passed OK finish usual time. Went to pics with O. Grady |
| Saturday 28 | Finish 12.30pm Going to London. Met Jean. Went to a dance at Hammersmith. Good Night! |
