"I don't want to belong to any club that will accept me as a
member." |
Some
members prefer to make more significant
donations to the Centre, and many have joined our 500 Club.
We hope to attract up to 500 members, each contributing a suggested minimum donation of £100 a year for five years. 500 Club members automatically become Life Members of the Friends and receive twice-yearly issues of the Journal, a lapel pin and a copy of D-Day, by Those Who Were There signed by the author, Peter Liddle. The true benefit of membership, of course, is knowing that you are playing an important part in helping us undertake our rescue and preservation programme. To join as a 500 Club member, please complete the membership application form and send it to the Centre with the appropriate payment to cover your membership. You can elect to pay by standing order on the same form. Due to changes in tax legislation we can reclaim tax on all donations we receive, provided the donor is a tax payer (this includes income tax and capital gains tax) so we would be grateful if you could sign the Gift Aid Declaration at the foot of the membership application form. £100, for instance, if made under the Gift Aid scheme, is worth £128 to the Centre at no extra cost to the donor. If you are a higher rate tax-payer you may be able to claim a tax rebate. Please contact cath.pugh@war-experience.org if you require further information about our 500 Club. |
